Your environment matters more than your willpower.

Hey Reader,

Let’s talk about something that’s sabotaging your goals—and you might not even realize it.

This is really relevant to me this week because this is the “Birthday Week”!!! I call it the Birthday week because tomorrow is my brother Eddies birthday, then two days later is my son Ricky’s 22nd birthday on the 22nd. Cool right!! Then two days later is my nephews birthday and two days after that is my other brother Jordan's birthday. Whew. There are more birthdays this week but i’m just listing my most immediate family because dang this list could be long with all these Aquarians.

The point is I need things to be so simple this week.

Ok so what do I mean!

You say you want to stay on track…
But your environment says otherwise.

You’re keeping all the foods that trigger you stocked in the house. (Birthday cake🙄 )
You’re surrounding yourself with temptations you’ve already decided you don’t want.
Then you’re beating yourself up for “not having enough willpower.”

Can we just stop the madness?

You don’t need more discipline.
You need to stop competing with your environment.

Set yourself up to win.

That means:

  • Don’t keep foods around that derail your progress
  • Make healthy options easy and visible
  • Create routines that support the version of you you're trying to become

Willpower is limited.
Environment? That’s something you can control.

If your kitchen looks like a snack aisle, you’ll eat like you live in one.

If your fridge is full of fresh options and your counter has a water bottle instead of a cookie jar?

You’re not forcing yourself to stay on track—you’re making it easier to do what you already want to do.

So… what’s one thing you can do today to make your environment match your goals?

Start there.

Hey Reader, The year things finally changed for most women… Wasn’t loud.Wasn’t extreme.Wasn’t fueled by “all or nothing” energy. It was quiet.Intentional.And supported. It looked like: showing up even when motivation dipped following a plan instead of guessing having someone help adjust instead of quitting choosing progress over perfection That’s how confidence is built. Not in a week. Not in January alone. But through consistent, supported action. If you’re tired of: starting strong and...

Hey Reader, By now, the New Year motivation buzz is starting to fade. That doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re human. If you've been following me for a while you know I don't do the whole New Years Resolution thing. I'm anti-alot of things most people do and that's a big one. Hear me out though... I'm all for the fresh start and looking at where I need to put more focus or what I've been neglecting. For me that's been work related projects and feeding my brain more. I know you guys...

Hey Reader, If motivation was the answer, most women wouldn’t still be stuck. Because let’s be honest — you want to feel better. you want to be consistent. you want this to finally stick. And yet… Every year starts the same way: A burst of motivation. A plan that looks good on paper. A few strong weeks… …and then life shows up. Here’s what I’ve learned after coaching hundreds of women over 40: 🔥 Motivation gets you started. Structure is what keeps you going. Without structure: You rely on...
