Hey Reader, By now, the New Year motivation buzz is starting to fade. That doesn’t mean you’re failing. If you've been following me for a while you know I don't do the whole New Years Resolution thing. I'm anti-alot of things most people do and that's a big one. Hear me out though... I'm all for the fresh start and looking at where I need to put more focus or what I've been neglecting. For me that's been work related projects and feeding my brain more. I know you guys count on me to stay up to date on the latest research in nutrition and fitness. Not just trends. So feeding my brain is so important to me. When it comes to workouts I started finally going hard again mid December. (Who does that? Just wait for the new year!) Well I don't like those rules LOL😘😅 I took a tiny break January 5th for my 72hr, annual water fast. I don't strength train on a fast that long. So a planned break was necessary and on Monday I'm back to pushing my strength goals. I hope you are too!💪 Look... I am HUMAN, I fall off track, I lose motivation. I go through cycles. So it will happen and I prepare for it. I don't just wing things. My workouts are planned, structured. I know exactly what I am doing on Monday. And believe it or not I'm doing the same with my work. I break down what projects I'm working on into a simple plan. And that plan allows me to adjust things for my life without throwing in the towel. Most women do the resolution thing and put a lot of pressure on themselves. And if things don't go perfectly that pressure becomes self doubt and destroys your confidence. So you give up on the thing that, you would have accomplished. So this is important! Because this is the point in January when so many women start wondering:
Let me clear something up for you: Motivation is not the problem. Motivation is temporary by design. What actually creates results isn’t motivation. Structure is what carries you on the days when:
The women who stay consistent aren’t more disciplined or more driven. They simply stop relying on motivation and start relying on systems that support them. Things like:
This is why willpower-based plans fail every year. And it’s also why this January can be different — if you stop asking yourself to “try harder” and start asking for better support. You don’t need more hype. And if you’re starting to feel that shift… that quiet awareness of “I don’t want to do this alone anymore” — pay attention to it. That’s growth. If you’re realizing motivation isn’t enough anymore, that’s not weakness — it’s wisdom. If this resonates with you, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Feel free to reply or share with someone you know. Hey Reader, The year things finally changed for most women… Wasn’t loud.Wasn’t extreme.Wasn’t fueled by “all or nothing” energy. It was quiet.Intentional.And supported. It looked like: showing up even when motivation dipped following a plan instead of guessing having someone help adjust instead of quitting choosing progress over perfection That’s how confidence is built. Not in a week. Not in January alone. But through consistent, supported action. If you’re tired of: starting strong and...
Hey Reader, If motivation was the answer, most women wouldn’t still be stuck. Because let’s be honest — you want to feel better. you want to be consistent. you want this to finally stick. And yet… Every year starts the same way: A burst of motivation. A plan that looks good on paper. A few strong weeks… …and then life shows up. Here’s what I’ve learned after coaching hundreds of women over 40: 🔥 Motivation gets you started. Structure is what keeps you going. Without structure: You rely on...
Hey Reader, Let’s reset something real quick. You don’t need: A perfect routine A flawless meal plan A full hour workout Or an all-or-nothing mindset You need one solid next step. That’s it. Because progress doesn’t come from big declarations — it comes from repeated follow-through on small decisions. Here’s what that might look like today: A 10-minute walk Drinking a full glass of water before coffee One protein-focused meal A short strength session instead of skipping entirely Going to bed...
