Hey Reader, Lately something strange has happened. And I want you to consider why this matters. I don’t wake up super early anymore. For a very long time I enjoyed walking up anytime between 4am and 6am. I loved to be up before everyone else, get in my morning flow, have my morning tea and time for myself. But, everyone in my house has a much different schedule than we used to. Because of this I’ve been staying up much later than normal and not being able to wake up as early. This was frustrating for me. Mostly because I hadn’t given myself permission to change my routine even though I wasn’t getting up that early…EVER. I realized that I could still have my time every morning as late as 7 or 8am. What I need is routine. The “what” and “when” isn’t the issue. By updated my routine to work with my current life I’m no longer competing with myself. I’m no longer frustrating myself thinking that I just need to push myself harder or telling myself that I’m not making my goals a priority. Look… By now, the excitement of January has settled. And if you’re still moving — even inconsistently — that matters. But here’s what I want to call out today: Most women don’t fall off because they “don’t want it enough.” Too rigid. And eventually… exhausting. What if your routine didn’t feel like something you had to force? What if it felt normal — like brushing your teeth or making your morning coffee?
