Social Life & Healthy Living—You CAN Have Both! ❤️🍽️

Hello Reader,

Have you ever skipped a night out or a family gathering because you were worried it would throw off your progress?

You’re not alone.

Today’s topic is extra special to me because it’s my mom’s birthday and two days ago was my husbands birthday, plus my anniversary was last week and then Easter this. Celebrations like these are a reminder that health isn’t just about what’s on your plate—it’s about the people you share it with.

A lot of people feel like they have to choose between enjoying their social life and staying committed to their health goals. But here’s the truth: avoiding the people and experiences you love isn’t healthy either.

Living a healthy life shouldn’t mean missing out—it should mean learning how to balance it all.

How to Enjoy Social Events Without Falling Off Track:

1️⃣ Plan Ahead – If you know where you’re going, check out the menu ahead of time and decide on a balanced meal you’ll enjoy. If it’s a party, bring a dish you love that aligns with your goals!

2️⃣ Don’t Show Up Starving – Have a balanced snack before you go so you’re not overly hungry and tempted to overdo it. A little protein and healthy fat (like Greek yogurt with nuts or a boiled egg with avocado) can keep you feeling satisfied.

3️⃣ Ask for Simple Tweaks – Don’t be afraid to ask if the chef can adjust a dish for you! Many restaurants can use less cheese, skip the breading, or swap a side for something healthier. You’d be surprised how often these requests are totally normal for them. And when it comes to family gatherings, let your loved ones know you’re eating healthier—they’ll likely be happy to offer options or let you bring something to share!

4️⃣ Pick What You Truly Want – You don’t have to eat everything at the table. Choose the foods you’ll enjoy the most, eat slowly, and savor them. No guilt necessary!

5️⃣ Remember: One Meal Won’t Make or Break You – One indulgent meal isn’t going to erase your progress—just like one salad won’t instantly get you results. The key is consistency over time, not perfection at every meal.

6️⃣ Stay Present – Instead of obsessing over food, focus on the people around you. Laugh, connect, and enjoy the moment—because emotional health is just as important as physical health.

A truly healthy lifestyle is one that includes both nourishing your body and making space for joy.

So go ahead—make memories, enjoy delicious food, and trust yourself to get right back on track afterward. You’ve got this!

And if you need extra support in building a flexible, balanced approach to your health, the Goddess Jump Start is designed to help you stay on track while still living your life.

Hi! I'm Nicole

Over the years I have thrown alot of info into my emails. I considered taking some of my old emails and making them into blog posts and then realized I can make a newsletter feed for you to go back to or refer others to. So here it is. Of course I won't include all emails here. But, as I write, when something seems to be a very useful email with info I beleive you will want to refer back to it will go to this feed. Enjoy! 😘

Hey Reader! Have you ever felt like eating healthy is just too complicated? One day you’re told to cut carbs, the next it’s all about high protein. One expert says eat six small meals a day, and another swears by fasting. No wonder it feels overwhelming! But here’s the truth: healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated.
